Melungeon List Rules

Janet Crain has a member of the Melungeon List on moderation. Who this person might be is unclear. The Melungeon List has been very active during the month of November. As usual, there seems to be personal verbal attacks. Janet's husband passed away recently. Melungeon Listers should remember this fact before they hit the send button to the Melungeon List. Also, don't forget that Santa Claus is watching, to see who has been bad and good.

Janet Crain wrote to the Melungeon List:
"There will be no big blow up on the Melungeon list. If I have to I'll temporaily shut the whole list down. And though I would hate to do this, you
will all know whose fault it is."

[MELUNGEON] Unparalleled 50% Promotional Discount

From: "ljcrain"

Date: Mon, 8 Jun 2009 22:38:48 -0600

Once again, Janet Crain, administrator of the Melungeon List, has violated the rules set forth by Rootsweb. She is marketing for one of the top DNA labs in America. In my opinion, Ms. Crain has abused her job for her own gain, what ever it be.

EH bandwagon

On Monday, Spet. 22

Gerre Byrd sure did get a chopping from Tari, so sorry for the down right mean rude response. Gerre, I'm positive that both Beth and Brent, plus thousands of others would enjoy looking at your priceless family photos. It is just amazing how physical features are passed on for generations. Every now then the Melungeon DNA-genes, randomly come into being. In other words, one of your siblings looks adopted or as they sometimes say, that one must be the milkman's kid.

Gerre, most genealogist do not verbally attack others who are working on the same surnames. Tari is wrong in many areas and she has not figured out that thousands of people alive today share common ancestors with her, Melungeon or non Melungeon. Tari doesn't know what she is talking about, she keeps going in circles with the same few surnames and limits her research in the process.

Give people a break, Tari!!

The Ballad of Brent Kennedy

Melungeon List Post

January 11, 2008

May God have mercy on Mr. Don Collins and "Saint" Anonymous....this poem is full of hate, racism and most of all, it's Anti-American. This poem, in the eyes of the world shows all that we have a long journey ahead in conquering worldwide racism and inhumanity.

Mr. Don Collins, stop throwing stones at other people who have ancestors who came to America in the pre-colonial era. Who gave you the knowledge and the right to judge every one's genetic makeup? Instead of poking fun at those who are disabled, you might try volunteering at your local hospital....

Many folks claim that the Melungeon List is nothing more than a breeding ground for unsavory characters who constantly interfere with genuine Appalachian researchers. One may refer to the Melungeon List as documented proof.

Also, my friend Brent Kennedy's mind and his soul are functioning at 100% capcity.

Turks in Hancock County Tenn.

In my opinion this is a racist and paranoid statement and I think it is hostile to anyone on earth who is Turk. Tell me exactly how on earth having Turkish heritage can cause the Melungeon people a lot of problems? This statement is insane... almost laughable if it were not so racist.

Caucasians can be of the Muslim faith too. Hateful thoughts and attitudes such as yours are what fuel the wars that exterminate God’s creations. America is not at war with Muslims. The truth is many Muslim men and women took an oath to defend the freedoms we treasure in our society. These women and men, I'm referring too, are in the United States Military. I'm sure that some of these people have Turk parents.

Fibromyalgia

I agree, Nancy Morrison is extremely knowledgeable about Melungeons with Fibromyalgia. Also, on FMF.

Nancy has helped so many people in the last decade by supporting them emotionaly and by directing them to the medical doctors who understood how treatFibromyalgia.

Nancy Morrison's web site is: The Melungeon Health Education and Support Network

I would like to add that Fibromyalgia is more common than some people realize. Fibromyalgia does not discriminate against it's victims ethnic makeup.

I find that aerobic exercise and stretching to cope with the muscle spasms.

Bravo Nancy!
