in Turkish history it is a fact, that the North American Indians have Turkish roots.
If you take a look to different mythologies of Indian tribes and compare it with the ancient Turkish culture you will see the same cultural roots. In addition to this a lot of Turks are convinced that the melungeons and the Indians are people of our blood.

So, if the melungeons are part Indian and part Turkish it means that they are in fact Turkish."
