A founder of the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center, now located in Dorseyville, Mrs. Jacobs was an organizer of the group's first pow-wow, or Native American festival, in 1979. The event, featuring craft vendors, food, demonstrations and dance competitions, has taken place every September since then, and last year she was honored for nearly 30 years of work on the festival."

Royal- Washington; honorary sister of Patricia Northern and Darlene Culberson-Bey; niece of Hattie Hunt; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends."

Peggy was a special lady with a heart as big as the heavens. Her service to uphold the law was outstanding. She gave herself to teach the children dancing, beading and much much more. Love never dies. She will always be with us in spirit.
